Prysmian in New Zealand 

In August 2007, Prysmian Cables & Systems reached an agreement to purchase the business assets of New Zealand cable manufacturer, International Wire & Cable Company Limited (IWC) an acquisition that further strengthened Prysmian’s presence in the Asia Pacific region. The Prysmian investment built on IWC’s existing infrastructure in the North and South Island’s of New Zealand and added to their supply capabilities through the expanded product range and research & development facilities of the global Prysmian Group. 

Today, from its production site in New Lynn, Auckland, Prysmian Cables & Systems manufactures and supplies the most comprehensive range of energy, data and telecommunications cables to customers all over New Zealand. Prysmian is a major supplier to Telecommunications Carriers, Power Utilities, Electrical Wholesalers & Contractors throughout New Zealand with an extensive range of products designed to suit specific applications.
