Since 1992, Prysmian has supplied a range of shipbuilding cables to Tenix Defence Systems as part of the ANZAC Frigate Project. These cables included power cables, platform control and monitoring & internal communications cables, resulting in the commissioning of these vessels for both the Australian and New Zealand Navies and Prysmian continues to supply cable for upgrade work as required. Prysmian cable products have also been used in eight submarines supplied to the Navy by the Australian Submarine Corporation.
